    Positon Overview:
    The Senior Manager of Partnership Management reports into the Partnership Management Director within Global Development Partnerships, supporting, enabling, and connecting our study teams with key strategic suppliers. The focus of Partnership Management is to support Global Development portfolio delivery through robust issue resolution and driving high performance from our providers via formal governance, oversight, goals and objectives, and
    clear communication channels. This role also provides alliance related guidance to internal and supplier clinical teams to aid in improved partnership behaviors, performance, and growth. The Associate Director title may be applied based on the Innovative Medicine R&D Career Ladder.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Drive the day-to-day oversight of the partner relationships to ensure adherence to the goals, vision, and contractual obligations, such as KPIs and other category metrics.

    • Support Global Development stakeholders regarding provider services at the portfolio or vendor-level and as an escalation point, for study teams, to mitigate issues efficiently, identify risks and work with partners to find solutions.

    • Become an authority on partnership activities to fully enable portfolio success and to avoid potential liabilities.

    • Oversee providers at the portfolio and vendor-level through day-to-day engagement with stakeholders and formal governance, leveraging Partnerships capabilities to ensure provider delivery, quality, and compliance.

    • Enable operational excellence within Partnerships by supporting and executing standardized metrics, processes, and controls, as well as leveraging centralized support of Partnerships functions.

    • Serve as GD point of contact for service delivery escalations; Function as liaison to supplier counterpart in managing expectations of service delivery and contractual issues.

    • Build relationships with team members across a matrix environment to resolve operational problems that may arise in development, finalization, and implementation of the activities.

    • Build relationships with partner team members at all levels to drive synergies and efficiencies; Collaborate on concepts that streamline processes.

    • Supports execution of efficiencies and savings creating strategies in collaboration with GD stakeholders and providers.

    • Utilizes metrics and business intelligence to facilitate decision support with GD stakeholders. Anticipates problem areas, opportunities and threats through global heat maps/footprint.

    • Supports adaptation and review of processes and playbooks for individual vendors to ensure timely and accurate updates meet business needs.

    Minimum Qualification:

    • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a scientific discipline or equivalent work experiences is preferred.
    • At least 8 years of relevant industry experience including clinical research and alliance/partnership management in the clinical operations environment.
    • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills with a successful track record of working across functions within a global environment.
    • Able to show dedication and willingness to challenge the status quo. Able to run change positively and sees change as an opportunity to improve processes and tools.
    • Strong people skills that will engage partners from all levels and influence decisionmaking in a global, matrix environment.
    • Persuasive communication and presentation skills to share ideas clearly across many levels of the organization
    • Demonstrated experience in creating, driving business relationships with effective communication, coordination, and targeted deliverables, outcomes, and follow-ups is required.
    • Demonstrated confidence and competence in comprehensive stakeholder management and team management to drive to clarity of responsibilities, practical issue escalation and aligned decisions through the influence and collaboration with multiple, matrixed functions.
    • Established experience with understanding and successful project delivery in a global, highly matrixed environment is required.
    • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict, influence teams across functions, and to build relationships in meeting organizational objectives, without formal authority is required.
    • Candidate should be agile and able to adapt to evolving business priorities.
    • Knowledge of supplier processes and contracting is preferred in either in a deliverables based model or functional-service provider model.
    • Ability to work in a global matrix/remote environment is required. Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally (~10%)
