    Senior Manager Pharm EMEA & AsPac VAT Planning

    Johnson & Johnson's Global Tax Operations is recruiting for a Senior Manager Pharm EMEA VAT planning, preferably located in Belgium, Czech Republic or Switzerland. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing VAT/GST strategies, handling key VAT/GST projects, support business development projects and providing VAT/GST advice to the Pharm sector.

    We are looking for a new team member to join us on our mission to transform our Indirect Tax Team, located in EMEA. This is an exciting position in a fast-paced environment passionate about agility and innovation within a team with multidimensional strengths! The position will report to the Indirect Tax Director EMEA & AsPac.

    The successful candidate must be a self-directed individual, able to exercise a high level of independent judgment, complete activities in a highly complex environment and possess strong business partnering skills. This position will collaborate closely with a variety of groups including Supply Chain, Commercial, R&D, IT, Regional/Country Finance and Tax. A strong combination of ownership, business understanding and willingness to be hands-on is required.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure compliance with all national and local laws by accurately determining and assisting the business with the VAT/GST impact of existing and new activities. Engage with external tax advisors where needed and support on audits.
    • Review and optimize VAT/GST flows within the companies in scope with an innovative and agile view. Actively pursue opportunities to optimize VAT/GST cash-flow. Participate on ad-hoc Projects and lead specific VAT/GST-projects assigned.
    • Advise on ERP design and Data structure from VAT/GST-perspective for supported businesses.
    • Collaborate on enterprise-wide initiatives where required, support on Mergers & Acquisitions and supply chain initiatives.
    • Educate team members and partners on forthcoming legislative changes, VAT/GST technical concepts, and impact on standard processes.
    • Lead the career development of the team under their leadership.
