The Senior Medical Information Associate (Sr. MIA) is a customer-oriented product knowledge and therapeutic area expert who is strategically minded and demonstrates the advanced ability to provide high-level clinical dialogue and support to healthcare providers (HCPs) and consumers. The Sr. MIA provides scientific insights and leads and/or actively participates in cross-departmental initiatives and business strategies. The Sr. MIA takes the lead in analyzing data and trends, identifies and leads process improvement initiatives, and proactively provides innovative solutions to optimize medical information delivery to customers. The Sr. MIA provides mentorship and coaching to fellow MIAs, and Interns. Provide Scientific, Product/Therapeutic Area, and Disease State Subject Matter Expertise to Internal and External Customers: Respond to product-related medical and scientific inquiries from healthcare professionals, consumers/patients, sales representatives, and other internal customers Work closely with business partners in the development and implementation of departmental projects and initiatives Research and prepare written response letters summarizing clinical literature on Janssen products Collaborate with cross-functional partners on the development, review, and approval of promotional materials, scientific presentations, corporate communications, and patient education projects Deliver training to new business partners on product-specific knowledge and Medical Information processes and resources. Identify and report adverse events and product complaints for Janssen marketed products according to internal procedures and timelines established in SOPs Provide scientific booth support at meetings and conferences Departmental Shaping and Process Excellence: Support departmental, local and/or global Medical Information projects that provide innovative solutions to optimize and enhance deliverables to external and internal customers Responsible for timely and accurate data entry into applicable MI systems; ensures data integrity Actively participates in appropriate knowledge exchange and sharing of key Medical Information processes, lessons learned and process efficiencies Provide mentorship and coaching to fellow MIAs, and Interns. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or other healthcare profession (MD, Nursing) or an advanced graduate degree (PhD, PharmD) required Experience in a pharmaceutical industry Medical Information department preferred A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required Experience in solid tumours (e.g., prostate, lung) a strong asset Familiarity with regulatory and healthcare compliance guidelines/policies preferred Project Management experience and/or certification an asset Proven ability to verbally communicate scientific information to HCPs preferred Able to research, interpret and translate complex scientific information into professional communications to HCPs and business partners preferred Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize Superior attention to detail and data accuracy Strong communication (verbal, written) and presentation skills Proven competencies for creativity, problem-solving, and innovative solutions Proven track record to work independently and in cross-functional team settings Working knowledge of relevant software programs (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe, Salesforce, VeevaVault, Qlik, etc.) preferred. Solid understanding of common digital/virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams, etc.) Ability to facilitate and teach adult learners.
