For our JJ Vision site in Groningen we are recruiting for a Senior MO (Mechanical and Optical) Lab Technician.
We are looking for someone that will be performing mechanical and optical measurements for product and process development (R&D).
You will be responsible for conducting complex process development measurements for new product introductions. For this role the candidate will use results, judgement and initiative to improve processes and standards.
Duties and responsibilities in this role:
- Carries out optical and mechanical measurements according to regulations using various measuring and registration equipment
- Performs limited laboratory routine testing & Finished Device Testing.
- Performs laboratory non-routine testing (validations, others as needed);
- When trained, performs the identification of Non-conformances and generates NCR’s and supports Non-Conformance investigations and other NC activities as needed and defined by Coordinator or Manager
- Owns NC's as applicable and needed.
- Performs failure investigations (FI) for Out of specification (OOS) tests as needed.
- Performs and owns failure investigation (FI), action plans, within the ETQ (Audit, NC, CAPA) system.
- Is trained in all skills (Cross trained);
- Coaches (Junior) MO Lab technicians.
- Carries out calculations and reports, and documents test results. Ensures all documentation is recorded properly and follows corporate standard operating procedures.
- Makes proposals on adaptations of equipment and working methods based on product and equipment properties
- Support Equipment validations
- Makes recommendations on improving quality, efficiency, cost of company product(s), processes, and/or productivity techniques.
- Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. Applies in-depth knowledge and thorough practice.
- Updates and improves relevant documents, such as work instructions and forms.
- Performs the inventory of lab supplies
- Is able to write forms and draft Work instructions.
- Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
- Performs other duties assigned as needed
