Key Responsibilities:

• This will be a region-based point of contact for external CRO chemistry resources within Discovery Chemistry. The position will report to the Global Head of External Discovery Chemistry
• Will contribute to delivery of the Janssen small molecule discovery pipeline by ensuring projects from Hit ID to NME delivery are appropriately supported with external medicinal chemistry resources. This person will provide tactical oversight of CRO teams, in collaboration with the Global Chemistry leadership team and chemistry project team leaders, and ensure FTEs are aligned with the chemistry strategy and prioritized program resourcing needs across the discovery portfolio
• Partner with both internal and external medicinal chemistry teams to generate innovative solutions to synthetic and medicinal chemistry challenges
• Track performance and drives increased productivity of CRO partners
