Research and development areas encompass novel targets in neurologic disorders, gastroenterology, oncology, infectious disease, diabetes, hematology, metabolic disorders, immunologic disorders, and reproductive medicine.

    The candidate for this position will lead, contribute to, and advance process development for viral vector based products for cell and gene therapy within the Therapeutics Development and Supply (TDS) organization in Spring House, PA.  The candidate will play an important role in the planning, prioritization, innovation, and execution of early or late phase cell and gene therapy projects within TDS.  The candidate’s primary responsibilities will include identifying and conceptualizing new ideas, designing and planning experiments, prioritizing areas of focus based on business objectives, and analyzing complex issues by problem-solving and turning solutions into reality.  The candidate will oversee and interpret experimental data and recommend/help to set research and development direction based on experimental results or scientific information.  The candidate will compile, report, and summarize findings to the project team, generate technical documents, and when applicable, present to senior management and business stakeholders.  The candidate will drive collaboration across teams by communicating results to colleagues and providing technical leadership to progress project objectives.  The candidate will interact and collaborate with internal or external manufacturing sites selected to manufacture the cell and gene therapy products.  The candidate will complement cell and gene therapy process subject matter experts to transfer process from development to GMP clinical or commercial manufacturing settings.  The candidate will work in a dynamic team environment as well as contributing individually to meet overall project timeline and business objectives.
