You will be developing strategies for an efficient site procurement process for indirect material and services in accordance with global guidelines, considering local needs, while establishing effective communication with various groups such as internal departments, suppliers and customers and ensuring the on-time delivery of products & services. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead the Indirect Purchasing Team creating an open, supportive and healthy working environment, focusing on personal and professional development Define and execute team goals in alignment with the site- & departmental strategy and continuously improve team performance Develop business scope of the SOURCE area Foster continuous improvement of business processes for the site Support management of team supply/demand, including deployment of contractors Identify, develop, and implement lowest cost source of supply for indirect commodity or category Effectively negotiate with suppliers and complete appropriate financial analysis to procure necessary products and services at the lowest total cost in accordance with stakeholder’s need Contribute to supplier quality management programs and manage supplier relationships Ensure activities are executed in compliance with applicable regulations as well as legal, quality & EHS requirements Work with internal stakeholders to develop, evaluate and implement action plans which maintain or improve process quality Build strong partnerships with other operation groups in identifying options to improve performance Qualifications Bachelor in Procurement or Supply Chain area 2+ years of people leadership experience 5+ years of experience as process leader in the Indirect Procurement area in the pharmaceutical industry Cross-functional experience in biopharmaceutical industry is beneficial Good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills in English AND in German Experience in developing, using and applying continuous improvement concepts Capable to adapt to changing circumstances and can implement change in a positive manner, demonstrating problem solving and analytical capabilities Knowledge of applicable quality and regulatory guidelines and industry standards for developing and launching biotech products Our offer: An exciting position in an international and dynamic environment with continuous learning and growth opportunities A competitive salary, on-site sport accommodations, health/energy programs and other benefits for you and your family.
