Impella Connect is the first-of-its kind cloud-based technology that allows clinicians and Abiomed support to remotely view intuitive device metrics and live video stream of case information transmitted from the bedside controller of the Impella pumps.
ABIOMED has an immediate opportunity for a Product Owner to join the Heart Recovery Cloud team and help transform our clinical support tool to software as a medical device, supporting remote clinical decision making. This is an opening to build and improve our global cloud infrastructure with innovative technologies as we continue to scale our services and expand our offerings. Key Responsibilities:
Acts as the primary liaison between the agile team and partners, including product management, program management, design/user experience, engineering, and clinical specialists, to ensure clear communication of product vision and goals.
Translates the vision and strategy for Abiomed's cloud-based services into an execution plan for the development team.
Runs the product backlog, sprint goals, refinement and planning sessions.
Reviews and translates product roadmap features and cloud program projects into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
Helps establish and maintain policies for working in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and finds opportunities and risks.
Monitors and reports on product performance, making data-driven decisions to improve customer experience.
Coordinates with internal and external teams for developing integration solutions for our remote monitoring platform.
Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson's Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.
Qualifications
Education:
BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology field or equivalent experience
Experience and Skills:
Required:
5+ years of experience in a project management, technical product owner, platform owner, engineer, or similar role
Strong compassion for customers
Experience with Agile methodologies
Data-driven decision-making, balancing customer input and technical needs
Proven track record in building relationships across functions within a global business
Proven communication skills in translating between technical and non-technical needs
Strong verbal, written, communication and presentation abilities; highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite

Preferred:
Experience as a Product Owner / Business Analyst in regulated industry; healthcare / medical device industry preferred
Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence) for communication and planning
Experience with cardiology medicine and/or medical devices
Strong understanding of software as a medical device product development
Experience of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
Understanding of web & mobile application architecture

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $91,000 - $147,200
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
