    Position summary

    DePuy Synthes, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is seeking a Software Sustaining Engineering professional focused on Life Cycle Management issues to join our team in Boston, MA or Warsaw, IN.  

    We are expanding our robotic surgery product line with both updates to our existing products as well as the development of new products. Be a part of a growing team bringing innovation to patient care through technology!

    The Digital Orthopedic Surgery team is making robotics and digital tools available to surgical teams to increase the performance, accuracy, and safety of a wide range of surgical procedures.

    The LCM Software Engineer is part of an Agile team of software and product development professionals creating software for digital surgery products. You will build on our existing architecture and technologies to bring new features to software products such as robotic assist medical devices.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Accountable for software release, deployment, and configuration activities

    • Collaborate with multi-functional partners to facilitate a deep understanding of device functionality and failures and to perform and publish in-depth root cause analysis.

    • Collaborate with software engineers, verification engineers, dev ops, and quality professionals, to create and update software modules to meet customer requirements.

    • Develop required documentation and associated quality records to support sustaining activities.

    • Support the implementation of new tools for increased automation, security, reliability, and performance of the applications

    • Other Sustaining duties as assigned
