Responsible for overall production, results and employee relations within assigned manufacturing area in regards to scheduling, process improvement, quality, efficiency and employee performance and development. Coordinates activities with other management personnel to ensure consistency. Responsibilities: Plan, organize and control work schedules in cooperation with planning department to ensure production schedules and department metrics are met. Provide leadership and guidance to production staff to resolve technical, operational, and performance problems. Responsible for people management. Responsible for performance assessment and feedback, effective communication, promoting positive morale and supporting employee involvement programs. Develop and deliver training on operating procedures and technical skills. Ensure department aligns with all Quality, EHS, and other company policies and procedures. Reports and leads department metrics. Support the maintenance of the operating supply inventory for each department. Assist in preparing, monitoring, and controlling department budget. Complete 5 performance and development conversations on an annual basis. Interview and select personnel to meet staffing requirements. Ensure that direct reports follow all training requirements. Additional duties as assigned. Know and follow all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintain the highest levels of integrity, ethics and compliance at all times. Qualifications Three years hands-on experience in an applicable manufacturing field and regulated industry. Ability to read, comprehend and apply documentation such as Quality, safety, operating and maintenance instructions. Strong Microsoft Office skills, with SAP experience highly desired. Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal. Bachelor's degree required. Physical demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feed objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to sit and stand. The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arm, and talk and hear.
