The Systems Engineer will be part of an R&D capital equipment team responsible for the design and development of current and new products. The candidate will work with design engineers, surgeons, marketing, manufacturing, regulatory affairs, quality, product directors, and other team members to develop product requirements and concepts on new and existing medical devices / capital equipment. This individual will complete necessary documentation to support design/development changes. Candidates will be responsible for requirements and traceability, systems design and architecture, reliability, prototyping, troubleshooting, failure analysis, V&V testing, and generation of protocols as well as documenting test reports. The engineer will work with internal and external partners, participate in design reviews, presenting results of formal analysis, and investigation summaries. The Systems Engineer will know and follow all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics, and compliance always. Qualifications Recent College Graduates; 2022 Graduates; 0-3 years of working experience. B.S. in Systems Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical, Software or related fields (M.S. degree is a plus). Knowledge of microcontroller/microprocessor and embedded systems applications. Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design and analysis. Knowledge of computer architecture, networking, and common communications protocols. Well organized, self-motivated, creative, resourceful, strong work ethic, leadership, and teamwork qualities. This position will also require strong analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills. Willing to work in medical environments such as cadaver labs and Operating Rooms is required. Preferred Knowledge of Systems Engineering, Architecture, Reliability, Design Control, Requirements Management & Traceability, Verification & Validation (V&V), Planning, Design Methods. Knowledge of controls, signal/image processing, software design concepts, mechanics, fluids, optics, statistics, and sensors and instrumentation. Medical Device Industry & Systems Engineering experience is a plus Experience with prototyping, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.
