Key responsibilities: In this role, the Territory Manager's responsibilities include but are not limited to: Representing Janssen in the field of Diabetes and ADHD to Specialists, including Endocrinologists, Nephrologists, Cardiologists, Psychiatrists, and in Primary Care (as required), including General Practitioners, Family Medical Practitioners, Diabetes Nurse Educators, key nursing staff and others related to our core business and activities, to achieve sales forecasts Support execution of Medical Education within the designated territory Demonstrate strong analytical insight, innovative & strategic thinking to deliver customer value. Become an expert in identifying key growth opportunities for the specified region/customer group, and how to effectively plan and invest against those identified drivers as articulated in a prepared formalized territory business plan Become an acknowledged expert in the business within his/her assigned territory by understanding fully the healthcare environment (including customers, products, competitive set, and regulatory) Uses in-depth product and clinical knowledge to influence decision-making that benefits the patient. Proactively researches the competitive landscape to adapt strategies to build customer loyalty. Collaborate with business partners in Sales, Marketing and Medical Education to address customer and organizational needs that optimize patient experience Qualifications A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. A minimum of 3 years consistent track record of sales success in the pharmaceutical industry including selling to Specialists. Experience in Diabetes is an asset Results driven and strong sense of demonstrated strategic thinking and prudent risk taking Proven strength with building relationships, business partnering and leading amongst peers. Demonstrated ability (with supportive examples) in business planning skills including: customer engagement, critical thinking, innovative, analytical and ambitious mindset Motivated self-starter - demonstrated initiative. Strong understanding and execution of customer segmentation models and prioritized targeting in line with brands strategies Strong verbal and written communication skills, including discussions of highly technical concepts. Proficiency in Microsoft applications, and comfort level for learning new technological platforms Demonstrates a strong learning agility High level of business integrity and ethics, including understanding and interpreting the IMC code. Willingness and ability to travel within Territory.
