    Position summary

    Janssen R&D is recruiting for a Translational DMPK intern for the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) department, located in San Diego, CA.

    The DMPK department is a critical part of the Preclinical Sciences and Translational Safety organization in Janssen R&D and is committed to the delivery of high-quality clinical candidates in all Therapeutic Area (TA) discovery teams. We are currently seeking an outstanding individual to join our Translational DMPK group as an intern for the summer of 2023 for a project focused on studying the interaction of drug metabolizing enzymes and transporters (DMETs) with bifunctional protein degraders. 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    •  Plan and conduct experiments to address project specific questions

    •  Perform laboratory functions including sample handling, buffer preparation, enzymatic reactions, molecular biology techniques such as cell culture, LC-MS/MS and HRMS

    •  Perform data analysis and present key scientific findings
