The Global Therapeutic Area Market Access Leader (TAMAL) will lead the creation and implementation of the market access strategy and will play a key role in the development, execution and shaping of payer environment, policy and evidence generation.
The TAMAL must ensure efficient communication and partnerships to drive product value proposition. Influence key stakeholders by understanding and monitoring the access environment, preparing for the changing landscape, and understanding implications for decision makers. Builds functional competencies and develops and attracts talent.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Play a key role in shaping the access environment by generating insights
- Understand changing access landscape and emerging trends across markets that can impact stakeholder response
- Anticipate market changes and understand how the changing healthcare market impacts access decision makers
- Monitor evolving policy environment, P&R systems, HTA policies and requirements
- Track company access decisions to understand impact and manage appropriately
- Be a leader in the development and execution of access strategy
- Lead and support the development and implementation of strategies to secure and maintain access, address access barriers, and shape favorable, sustainable access environments
- Increase understanding of drivers to help shape Target Patient Profiles (TPPs) and integrated evidence-generation plans
- Support product value proposition by ensuring efficient communication, collaboration and networking
- Lead partnership within market access functions to ensure alignment in key areas and ideas
- Understand access impact on other business areas, functions, decision-makers
- Build network of key policy stakeholders and advocacy groups to educate, and to support achievement of policy objectives
- Create value messages by designing, executing and analyzing HTA models and studies
- Support optimal access environment via evidence synthesis and generation
- Understand evolving HTA requirements to help review evidence generation plans
- Lead teams to fill evidence gaps to build integrated evidence packages
- Submit P&R applications, and communicate with HTA authorities throughout the product lifecycle
- Generate evidence strategies, capture relevant outcomes, interpret evidence and ensure delivery to support successful HTA appraisal
- Builds organizational and individual capabilities to drive functional excellence
- Attract, retain and develop high performing team of market access leaders
