The Chief of Staff will support the Asset and Wealth Management Technology India LOB in:
Identifying strengths and opportunities and formulating pragmatic recommendations to drive the mindset and culture of deep collaboration, innovation, efficiency and productivity.
Driving regional transparency, consistency, communication, alignment and optimization across AWM Technology organization in the region, through strong partnerships with internal teams
Maintaining oversight of the delivery of AWM Technology's strategic imperatives and extending needed support, as well as keeping senior stakeholders informed on what's going on within AWM Technology India
Partner and support Leads of global and local initiatives
Providing timely, thought leading and quality (data-driven) management updates as required to various leadership stakeholders across business and technology.
Drive "One Team" culture. Create a culture of accountability, sense of urgency and team building across AWM Tech India.
Job Responsibilities: -
Provide strategic support to AWM Tech India CTO and India Tech Leadership
Support AWM Tech India CTO in shaping regional priorities and governing their implementation, which includes (but is not limited to)keeping global CTOs, stakeholders informed of goals and progress, and driving cross-functional alignment towards the goals.
Actively support and/or drive Global Tech and AWM initiatives such as Culture, DEI and Talent acquisition workstreams. Partner with leadership team and firmwide communication groups in developing a comprehensive AWM and Technology communications strategy to engage with the 1800+ employees.
Steer execution of divisional level priorities in the context of India (includes hiring / training / DEI etc.)
Develop management insights, analysis and tech updates.
Aid in the prompt and seamless escalation of divisional or regional risks / issues and their resolution.
Partner with the India LT and India Strategy lead to execute events such as strategy offsite, management forums and senior visits
Contribute to divisional and India level tech initiatives within AWM Tech India
Foster stronger local coordination and collaboration at AWM India level on cross-AWM initiatives
Partner with regional Business management team to regular review resource utilization metrics (RTOO, Desk utilization), Organizational metrics (Headcount, attrition/mobility), Financial metrics and other departmental metrics.
Manage overall divisional updates on org structure, org efficiency, processes improvements.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
A minimum of 15+ years' experience in the Technology function of a firm and Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering and/or Business Administration or similar field
Strong Influencer who can understand team dynamics and organizations boundaries /constraints.
Experience working with globally distributed teams.
Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to multi-task, challenge status quo and be motivated to work on a broad range of activities, from strategic through to tactical.
A self-starter, creative and lateral thinker with a strong focus on execution.
Must be organized, accurate and dependable, with a data-driven mindset.
Pro-active in resolving problems and ensuring targets are met / results achieved.
Ability to flex / stretch based on the needs of the team/organisation.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Work Experience in a global bank with experience in data analysis and budget management
Technology program delivery experience will become quite useful.
Proven experience in global coordination role
Nimble business mind, focused on developing creative solutions.
Strong project-reporting skills, with focus on global and interdepartmental communications
