Job Responsibilities
Be responsible for managing designated clients in the Hong Kong Credit Portfolio
Work closely with the Senior Credit Risk Officer and Corporate & Investment Banking business partners to assist / manage the Client Credit Relationship
Be able to work independently on end to end execution of transactions including due diligence, credit analysis, financial modeling, grading, structuring, credible challenge 1st line and formulate reasonable & holistic recommendations for Credit Executive Approval across industries.
Be able to confidently lead client due diligence meetings with professional verbal & behavioral presence around clients and business
Proactively use LLM across range of tasks to support production, analysis and enhance efficiency
Ongoing active monitoring of the portfolio including limit/exposure and breach management and being the first point of contact for all queries related to portfolio
Support local legal entity risk management requirements in line with local regulations
Be able to network with teams across the bank and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve objectives
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
Minimum 3 years of experience in credit related role
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English
Possesses strong quantitative ability in analyzing and interpreting financial statements, draws well-thought out conclusions from analysis, and is credit trained
Ability to work independently on detailed credit due diligence for complex transactions, i.e. leverage finance, structured derivatives transactions, etc. with strong credit analysis skills, product and industry knowledge.
Organized, self-motivated, and proactive, with willingness to take initiative
Flexible mindset with solution orientation (going beyond identification of risks)
Strong teamwork/partnership approach (both with business partners and within Credit)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Knowledge / experience of trade finance, derivative documentation (including ISDA and CSA), as well as familiarity with term sheets / loan documentations
