Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
8+ years of hands-on experience in installation, migration and decommission suite of Broadcom (erstwhile Bluecoat) devices including Proxy SG, Secure Web Gateway (ISG), Symantec Content Analysis Systems (CAS), SSL Visibility appliances and Symantec Management Center (SMC).
Experience with other SaaS based Secure Gateway vendor e.g. Zscaler, Netskope etc
Ability to build, test and deploy proxy-based security solutions
Good understanding of network infrastructure, network security concepts and application layer protocols (http/https) and vulnerability mitigation
Good understanding of REST API and container-based deployment models.
Proficient in use of SEIM tools for investigate purposes
Scripting skills for automation of a Proxy environment and understanding and comfortable working on shell/python scripts and Ansible playbooks.
Expertise of networking fundamentals including Network topology, VLANs, Routing, Switching, Global/Local Load Balancing and Firewalls.
Ability to collaborate with different roles and different levels across different teams to achieve common goals and ensure end to end project delivery
Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills in a large enterprise environment
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
Exposure to cloud technologies
Experience with version and revision control practices
Flexible to work off hours and weekends in a 24x7 on-call rotation
