    • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems

    • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture

    • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies

    • Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

    Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

    • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience

    • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability

    • Strong proficiency in Python, backend API with the ability to write clean, scalable, and production-ready code

    • Strong in Database - SQL and strong in designing Architecture

    • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-location teams, bridging business and technology stakeholders to achieve shared organizational goals.

    • A strong sense of ownership demonstrated through delivering measurable business impact, navigating obstacles, and driving work through to completion within a broader developer community sharing a common technology and codebase.

    • A passion for fostering an innovative culture, committing to continuous learning across technical skills, business acumen, and personal effectiveness, while mentoring and coaching junior engineers.

    • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, including requirements elicitation, stakeholder relationship management, and end-to-end ownership of deliverables from concept through to production.

    • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security

    • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems

    Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

    • Hands-on experience with Agentic AI programming and a genuine passion for prompt engineering and agentic-based design patterns.

    • Proficiency in AWS services or demonstrated exposure to AWS
