    Position summary

    • Sets overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration

    • Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements

    • Manages stakeholder relationships and the team's work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements

    Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

    • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience

    • Good experience in designing and developing Data products.

    • Hands on experience in AWS Cloud services, Python, pySpark, SQL, and Data Engineering.

    • Expertise in Snowflake.

    • Good understanding of data fabric concepts.

    • Decent understanding on ML models and ML life cycle.

    • Proven expertise in design and development of data pipelines from scratch focusing Data quality, security, monitoring, and alerting.

    • Good data-driven mindset to lead data strategy discussions with stakeholders.

    • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems

    • Ability to train and guide the team towards achieving common goals.

    • Capability to deliver constructive feedback and conduct year-end appraisals for the team, while effectively resolving any disagreements.

    Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

    • Familiarity with Java and/or JavaScript is a plus.
