As a part of our team, you will contribute to the shaping of digital tool experiences for JPMC firmwide teams who plan for, test, and manage disruptions to business. We work to create optimized user experiences via elegant problem-solving for complex tooling needs.
Job Responsibilities:
Gain experience with data querying, wrangling, and analysis; become proficient in SQL and/or Python with a working knowledge of Snowflake Data Cloud. Understand relevant statistical concepts (significance testing, regression/linear models).
Conduct product research, market research, and/or analytics, including leading end-to-end quantitative research studies. Prefer some mixed methods research experience but not required.
Act as a self-starter and problem solver who loves "getting in the weeds" with quantitative data (including survey data, public "big data" repositories, and internal logged data).
Balance creative and analytical skills to proactively define research questions, identify appropriate methods, execute studies, and synthesize findings.
Communicate strongly with a bias toward action to proactively collaborate with multiple teams.
Utilize experience with longitudinal analysis, multilevel/mixed effects modeling, and/or survey weighting as a plus.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
PhD/Master or equivalent in Statistics (can include Social Science), Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or relevant fields.
5+ years of experience planning and executing user research studies.
Ability to drive multiple medium complexity initiatives with minimal guidance.
Strong programming skills with SQL and/or Python and a demonstrated ability working with extremely large datasets.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to champion user experience research and integrate within the design planning, estimation, and prioritization process.
Demonstrated ability to incorporate design thinking into the product development process.
Clear and articulate communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Familiarity with banking and finance a plus.
Experience with B2B research (not just consumer) an advantage.
Portfolio or examples of past projects.
Ability to train and mentor junior team members.
