Workload Automation Management: Install, configure, maintain, and support CA7 Workload Automation and CA Automic Automation Intelligence (AAI) environments, ensuring high availability and performance of all scheduled jobs.
Automation and Scripting: Design, develop, test, and optimize REXX and Python scripts to automate routine system tasks, improve operational efficiency, and integrate mainframe processes with modern platforms.
System Maintenance: of z/OS operating systems and third-party vendor software using tools like SMP/E, ensuring all software is at supported levels.
Performance Tuning and Analysis: Diagnose system and performance problems related to batch processing and overall system health, implementing configuration changes and best practices for optimization.
Collaboration: Work closely with application development teams, operations staff, and other IT stakeholders to perform installations and upgrades, and ensure seamless integration within the mainframe ecosystem.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and disaster recovery procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience as a Mainframe Systems Programmer or similar role, with strong hands-on experience in the IBM z/OS environment.
Technical Proficiency:
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.
Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications in mainframe technologies or specific CA products.
Experience with other automation tools or monitoring solutions.
