You will utilize superior analytical skills, combined with credit and industry knowledge, to make and support credit decisions for a portfolio of clients. You will collaborate across credit risk and the business teams to meet client credit requests, while balancing the risk-return needs of the Firm.
Job Responsibilities
Manage and monitor a portfolio of client credit exposures, across industry classes, on an ongoing basis
Take ownership of client credit needs and projects and independently develops a credit opinion
Oversee and conduct credit analysis and approves or seeks approval for all lending and trading related transactions, including operating exposures, individually or as part of a deal team
Provides credit expertise in structuring new loan and derivative transactions
Lead or assist in negotiating, finalizing, and executing documentation for loans and derivatives
Remain current on all aspects of the credit relationship, including exposure, compliance, potential problems and opportunities
Provide a cohesive and comprehensive approach to review ratings, risk assessment, portfolios, clients and industries in their sector
Review and assigns risk ratings and maintains updated credit research on their portfolio of clients
Work with CIB Coverage, CB Coverage and Americas Corporate Banking on allocation of capital for clients; maintains threshold and industry limits
Manage credit due diligence process for clients, including for capital markets transactions
Review and approve written credit approval documents, which include financial analysis and modeling
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
Bachelor's degree
5+ years experience in credit risk, either in banking or a corporate finance role
Excellent accounting and corporate finance expertise and/or completion of a major corporate bank credit training program or equivalent experience
Strong analytical and financial modeling ability
Solid knowledge of loan and derivative products, documentation, and structuring
Experience negotiating legal documents associated with credit products
Outstanding verbal and written communication, along with strong interpersonal skills
Exceptional work ethic and ability to work well under pressure on teams in a demanding environment
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word software
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
MBA or CFA designation
Previous credit risk experience in Consumer, Retail and/or Healthcare
