Senior Manager of Software Engineering (Threat Detection)

If you are a software development team manager who has some experience with threat detection development and you know your way around AWS cloud SaaS application development, then we should talk!

Juniper Threat Labs is looking for a software engineering manager with experience in threat detection technologies. You will manage the Threat Detection team, a team of highly skilled engineers and data scientists who develop and enhance threat detection applications using static and dynamic malware analysis, encrypted traffic analysis, protocol specific security, as well as advanced machine learning techniques. You will deliver security applications in both a SaaS cloud environment as well as in on-premises security appliances.

• Lead product deliverables, working with product management and test teams to ensure a smooth execution
• Work with production management and senior engineering leadership on product roadmap and feature prioritization
• Manage 3rd party providers relationships within the area of responsibility
• Drive independent 3rd party product efficacy testing
• Hire and retain top talent within team
• Guide and mentor team on threat landscape and detection methods during research projects
• Build tools required by Threat Researchers to collect, analyze and display threat detection telemetry

Requirements

• 5 years software engineering team management experience

• Strong understanding of security applications (malware detection techniques like sandboxing, IPS, Firewalls, etc.)

• Experience with network devices, network protocols, operating systems

• Experience developing products for Cloud SaaS platforms, AWS

• Experience developing applications for appliance based products

Minimum Salary: $178,560.00

Maximum Salary:$256,680.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $178,560.00 and $256,680.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
