    Position summary

    Job Title: Full Stack Developer

    • About the Position: At Juniper IT Applications Management, we focus on building applications that directly enable and support business processes and thus help the company operate and compete in Networking Technology Space. We are looking for a team player who can join us sin that mission.

    Responsibilities:

    • Understand requirements, Develop specifications (10%)
      • Understand Business Requirements & Functional Specification Documents, user scenarios, function and feature lists, analysis models to develop use cases, and create software specifications, that are to be used for application development and testing / validation
    • Developing and documenting High- and Low-Level designs (10% to 20%)
      • Develop and document Design and Architecture of and systems, Subsystems, Integrations and that are reliable, scalable and can be easily operated when deployed on Juniper Networks internal data centers or public cloud infrastructure or on a hybrid model environment with careful consideration of security, elasticity, multi-tenacity, scalability and operability
      • Application and Infrastructure architecture should adhere to Juniper IT best practices and Industry Standards
    • Developing applications per specification & design (60% to 70%)
      • Develop web front-end and back-end application components adhering to specifications using appropriate Languages and Frameworks (like Java / Spring Boot, NodeJS/Express, for backend applications and ReactJS, BackBone, VueJS for frontend applications)
      • Should be familiar and/or worked on developing Micro services for Kubernetes.
      • Write optimized code with scalability in mind.
      • Develop database modules / code and ensure operations conform to relevant ACID properties for RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL Database Systems (AWS DynamoDB, Redis, MongoDB)
      • Ensure to follow the appropriate coding and architectural guidelines during development
      • Ensure code follows and conforms Juniper IT standards
      • Apply Information and application security concepts in development and ensure applications conforms with OWASP recommendations
    • Build and Operate (10%)
      • Deploy and Manage application landscape on cloud / datacenter / hybrid platform
      • Conduct instrumentation and logging, build the right monitors, alerts and metrics and ensure the availability and performance of the platform’s health
      • Debug issues, find the root cause, propose solution options, test and rollout the best solution.
      • Act as escalation point for level 3 technical support in PST time zone.
      • Help and guide level 1 and level 2 technical support teams with their technical queries

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 7 years of experience in application development that are end user facing.
    • Should’ve worked in a team size of 5 or more.
    • Experienced (2 years+) in developing applications on Kubernetes platform (AWS)
    • This role is a mid-level individual contributor position in application development for cloud and hybrid infrastructure - interfacing with highly skilled engineering & business teams that are trying to solve customer challenges in the network technology area.
    • Strong communication skills – Written and oral.
    • Strong experience in Java, Spring, Spring boot.
    • Experience in designing, implementing, testing, and supporting large-scale systems.
    • Experience in developing REST API’s to support communication between systems.
    • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle.
    • JavaScript/ReactJS/AngularJS/NodeJS – At least a year of hands-on experience.
    • Experience in AWS (or Azure) and related services.
    • Excellent understanding of Data structures and Algorithms
    • Strong coding, debugging, and analytical skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of object-oriented concepts, programming, and systems design
    • Demonstrated teamwork skills. The ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical users about objectives, requirements, and design constraints.
