    The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is the vital link between information technology capabilities and the business objectives of KinderCare. In this role the business systems analyst will lead the business through the implementation of cost-effective technology solutions by determining the requirements of a project, program, or product, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders and team members. BSA’s represent the front lines in our IT mission, empowering our teams to aggressively pursue opportunities with technology that significantly enhances the center and family experience.

    We’re looking for a Senior BSA to join our team as a thought-partner with our stakeholders, Product Owners, and Engineers on a myriad of products and projects. This is a rewarding opportunity to be a senior team member with active participation in the development of project/product strategy during planning activities, formulation of clear and comprehensive requirements gathering strategies and execution, as well as user acceptance testing plans and execution. We’re looking for someone who also appreciates the value of business process engineering as a foundational piece to projects and has the confidence and capability to dig into the details, document, and drive towards optimal, efficient ways of working with and for our partners and customers.

    An ideal candidate is someone who has successfully contributed to large-scale enterprise initiatives, ranging from business automation activities, ERP/CRM upgrades, data migration efforts, on-prem to cloud infrastructure projects, etc. 

    There is also a production support function that this team supports, and this person will be responsible for contributing approximately 25% (typically less) of their time to these day-to-day operations. These responsibilities include monthly reporting, application related inquiries and escalations, and review and approval of small SQL changes.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Identifies opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system driver changes; assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes.
    • Responsible for conducting complex and thorough research of existing processes, systems, systems logic, hardware deployment and desired objectives to develop detailed systems specifications to meet the objectives of the assigned projects.
    • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
    • Analyze and verify requirements, user stories, and acceptance tests for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and testability.
    • Provide direction for the best way to support the business strategy and objectives by producing Business

    Requirements tied to strategy that is further decomposed into detailed user, functional, and non-functional requirements. Requirements, user stories, and acceptance test criteria are composed in a concise manner that is comprehensible to developers, customers, and project teams. 

    • Work with development, QA and UAT teams to ensure delivered solution meets requirements using acceptance test criteria.
    • Participation in User Acceptance Testing

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors in a business related field or equivalent experience
    • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in a BSA role supporting Enterprise Project Delivery in Waterfall
    • Excellent analytic skills. Ability to critically evaluate information gathered, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
    • Demonstrable experience with business and technical requirements' analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development. Demonstrated ability to independently perform analysis and author specifications.
    • Excellent Business Process Mapping skills, including As-Is and To-Be processes, and process reengineering skills.
    • Demonstrated experience working in multiple Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) required
    • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
    • Well-versed in querying SQL Server databases
