What you bring:

As the Field Senior HR Business Partner, you will serve as a proactive thought partner, coach, and driver of creative solutions that impacts experience, talent, and culture. You bring a light-hearted sense of humor that helps sustain and build upon the amazing culture we’ve built. You can read a room – and in partnership with leaders, drive consensus and positive outcomes through strong listening and understanding of all sides. As a curious and courageous change agent and culture keeper, you will support in driving employee engagement and improving organizational effectiveness in alignment with KinderCare’s strategic priorities.

Your success will be measured by the relationships you build, the positive and forward-thinking outcomes of your work, improved team and overall engagement, employee retention, successful building and implementation of strategic HR initiatives, and showing up as a positive champion for KinderCare’s past, present, and future. This role directly supports connecting the dots of what is happening across KinderCare and how it can strategically and tactically relate to the rest of organization and how that translates to support of our field and corporate based employees in building Confidence for Life in the children we care for every day.

What you’d focus on:

  • Primary HR partner for field leadership within assigned functions supporting org design, culture, leadership development, employee relations, staffing, talent planning/succession, and daily “HR quarterbacking”
  • Lead seasonal programs for your functions like talent calibration, performance calibration, succession planning, engagement review and action planning, etc.
  • Provide proactive thought partnership, leadership, and expertise to enable leaders to drive success for their teams
  • Develop and execute on key initiatives and programs specific to overall corporate functions and culture
  • Coordinate with corporate partners to ensure delivery of additional support in Organization Development, Talent Management and Compensation to diagnose, develop and deliver timely, comprehensive and relevant solutions
  • Build and influence leadership capability across all levels of your teams
  • Consult with leaders on employee issues and lead investigations as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with all pertinent HR-related laws and regulations
  • Support administration of requisition requests for recruitment, onboarding new hires, coordination of final pay, and supporting the leaves process.
  • Drive process improvement pertaining to administrative solutions across the corporate office

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a strategic HR Business Partner with an expertise in organizational behavior, change management, business planning, and communication
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, advanced degree preferred
  • Proven agility when working in fast-paced environments and with ambiguity
  • Successful experience leading/influencing organizational change
  • A strong business acumen with extensive knowledge of the business/market trends, competition, company policies/procedures and the ability to be a culture keeper
  • Proven strategic agility and thinking, knowing how the organization can perform and win, can initiate and operationalize competitive HR strategies and plans linked to the business strategy
  • Ability to build partnerships with leaders at all levels and excellent customer focus
  • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter, follow-through, and plan ahead
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
