Opportunity

As a Design Sales Consultant you will be responsible for maximizing sales volume and ensure satisfaction levels by implementing the Kohler Signature Store's Premium Client Service standards.Specific responsibilities include: client development and sales generation, store operations, and outside business development.

Specific Responsibilities

Sales Generation (75% of time)

Achieve Sales- and Service-related Metrics

• Monthly sales and orders goal
• Gross Margin targets specific to Store location
• Ann Sacks sales goal; 10% sales mix
• Design Service goals; 4 In-Store and 1In-Home consultation
• Score of 4 or better on NPS scorecard
• Conversion rate of 30% of Personalized Catalogs (quotes) to order

Achieve Selling Process Steps

• Accurately qualify and concisely communicate how The KOHLER Signature Store can meet customer's needs through proper information gathering and listening
• Edit product assortment to provide ease of purchase
• Provide Personalized Kohler product catalogs to 1 out of 4 customers
• Follow-up on all outstanding quotes
• Efficiently provide solution-driven design in 3 meetings
• Close the sale within the Store; avoid losing to competition

Promote

• Yourself
• The KOHLER Signature Store points of differentiation
• Kohler Co. family of brands; Kallista, Robern, and Ann Sacks
• In-store and in-Home Consult programs for design projects
• In-store events by attending and actively promoting the Store
• Installer referral programs
• Promote new product introductions and sales promotions

Maintain client relationships

• See sale through to completion
• Resolve customer issues quickly and clearly communicate the steps taken
• Follow up thank you, new product introductions and requests for referrals

Manage time by

• Coordinating selling floor time and customer appointments with staff and other Store resources
• Maintaining task lists
• Communicating needed office time to Store Manager

Store Operations (15% of time)

Maintain

• 100% compliance on Standard Operating Procedures
• All voice, in-person and electronic correspondence with a sense of urgency
• Customer quotes, sales orders, detailed change orders and related paperwork with high level ofdetail
• Sales tools, resources, collateral and overall cleanliness of the Store

Promote

• Team atmosphere by assisting colleagues' customers in their absence
• Sister businesses and total Kohler Co. portfolio of brands
• Constructive feedback to Store Manager on all customer comments
• Suggestions for store improvement, product development and client services

Participate in

• On-going training
• Staff meetings

Outside Business Development (10% of time)

Maintain

• Personal Selling Plans with a minimum of 25 active accounts
• Trade relationships with a minimum of 5 outside calls per month
• Relationship with the local Kohler Co. branch to maximize productivity of outside calls

Promote

• Designer and Custom Builder trade programs

Participate in

• 4 non-Store initiated trade events and design work shops through out the year

Skills/Requirements

• Candidate will possess 3 years high-end sales / service experience, preferably in the kitchen and bath industry. Undergraduate degree is needed, with a specialization in interior design is preferred. Must possess strong verbal and written skills, and successfully complete the Kohler Certification program.
• Needs to be capable of creating and communicating product and / or design solutions in a timely manner and articulate why to buy from The KOHLER Signature Store.
• Career path for this job function may lead to a Senior Project Design Consultant position once metrics and appropriate business development standards have been achieved.
