KPMG is currently seeking a Data Quality Build Manager to join our Data Strategy and Operations organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute on Informatica Data Quality (CDQ, IDQ,DEQ/BDQ) implementations including data quality measurement activities across multiple systems, data domains, data sources; Manage the development & maintenance of Data Quality Profiling, Rules, Scorecards and Exception Management Workflows
  • Manage development life cycle of DQ related enhancements, projects and Microsoft Power Business Intelligence visuals to aggregate Enterprise Data Quality Scores by Domain, System with drill-down into data sets, dimensions and individual Scorecards
  • Oversee the development of BAU Operational Plans and other Data Quality artifacts for turnover Data Quality solution from Build to Run team; launch Data Stewardship activities in coordination with various stakeholders for ‘Execution’ hand-off; Oversee build team and adhere to DQ operating model and DQ Playbooks; Work with run team to transition new build projects into production
  • Partner with the business to promote data quality tools, controls and overall quality awareness across the data supply chain; define overall Data Quality KPIs, measurements and reporting standards including escalation of systemic data quality issues within the data council
  • Work with Functional Data Officers to identify systemic data quality issues (issues that are common across Functions) and coordinate remediation/resolution; propose any data quality issues for escalation to the data council
  • Execute on strategic application of baseline data quality performance and trending, including program evolution; accountable for the design, implementation and capability evolution (including manual execution) of multi-tier quality dashboards to help progress versus a baseline level of data quality

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of experience in building and managing a federated data quality program as part of a Chief Data Office, including policy/standard integration, processes and controls
  • Minimum three years of recent experience working with DQ tools and reporting toolsets, including rule development, testing, issue tracking, reporting and DQ dashboard design; Experience with Informatica data quality tools (CDQ, IDQ, DEQ/BDQ) and Microsoft Power BI visualizations required; experience with SQL Server, Oracle, Hive Structures, Cloud / Azure ADLS and Databricks, Metadata, Jira / ServiceNow experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to develop and operationalize Data/Big Data Quality initiatives including profiling, Data Quality rule development, development of scorecards, data stewardship and exception / issue management workflows (using Informatica tool set) as well as experience with data management, data governance, metadata toolkits
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills, with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority; able to prioritize, delegate and foster the development of high-performance teams to lead/support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork; as well as strong trouble-shooting and organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
