KPMG is currently seeking a Manager to join our Business Tax Services practice.

Responsibilities:

• Provide tax compliance and consulting services to tax-exempt organizations, with a focus on our key tax-exempt sectors: healthcare providers and payers, higher education, aid and development, corporate philanthropy, and other not for profits
• Build and manage a portfolio of client relationships of varying size and scope, with an ability to operate as their trusted advisor
• Participate in and contribute to market and business development activities external to the firm, including identifying and pursuing new potential client service opportunities
• Manage the risk and financial performance of engagements including billings, collections, and project budgets
• Manage large projects, day-to-day client interaction/tax advisory skills, and tax compliance responsibilities
• Market-facing professional comfortable representing the practice in our growing New England area client base as well as in interactions with our Boston-based partners and professionals

Qualifications:

• A minimum of five years of tax and advisory experience with exempt organizations in an accounting, law, and/or other professional services firm with a focus on the provision of services to exempt organizations
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
• Preferred licensed CPA, J.D./LLM (but will consider other appropriate advanced degree). Strong knowledge of tax code and regulations, and preferred understanding of the Affordable Care Act
• Experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams
• Strong client facing and business development skills
• Strong tax research and writing skills, and the ability to teach others the same
