KPMG is currently seeking a Manager in M&A Services for our KPMG Strategy practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Procurement offering within Private Equity and Industrial Manufacturing sectors, including business development, implementation, intellectual capital, training and development of junior staff
  • Lead engagements/projects /improvement initiatives in Sourcing/ Procurement focused on performance improvement through optimized processes, policies, organization, systems/tool and/or metrics
  • Act as the project manager to help ensure successful problem formulation, hypotheses generation, comprehensive analysis in testing hypotheses, and problem resolution; support initiatives from start to finish, including managing teams, generating information or data requests, leading client and target discussions, creating and coordinating deliverables, and assisting with presentation of outputs
  • Provide oversight of highly skilled KPMG work teams throughout the project lifecycle and serve as the primary team interface with various levels of executives and team members
  • Lead the team to create value-add insights that tie to the client's strategic and financial ambitions, including identifying the underlying value proposition and challenging the client's near and long term working capital and cash flow management objectives through structured data analyses to identify operational risks, efficiencies, or other opportunities
  • Help lead proposal development and other new business development activities by leveraging new and existing relationships with C-level executives across corporate and private equity clients

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience is required, including a minimum of 2 years in consulting, preferably at a top 10 management consulting firm, and 3 to 5 years in Private Equity and/or Industrial Manufacturing
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, economics, STEM or other relevant degree is required, MBA or graduate engineering defree strongly preferred
  • Track record of delivering performance improvement projects across Sourcing/ Procurement that delivered tangible results (process improvements, cash flow improvement, reduction in cost etc.)
  • Proven ability to perform data driven analyses including problem statement, data discovery, statistical analysis and results
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; comfortable explaining data driven and process interview insights topics to business users
  • Willingness and ability to travel
