KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Risk Management – Technology Data and Operations to join our Risk Management organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Work productively with and advise business, IT leadership, and project team members to help efficiently and effectively manage technology risk
  • Interact with partners and engagement teams to provide Risk Management policy guidance and to resolve questions regarding the application of such policy, while strategically influencing stakeholders outside Risk Management
  • Perform comprehensive oversight and effective challenge across first line technology processes and identify opportunities to ensure risk tolerance remains appropriate 
  • Support the development of new technology governance, review methodologies and protocols as emerging technologies are adopted by the firm; develop, evaluate and recommend various risk management guidelines while coordinating implementation
  • Participate in periodic compliance activities to help ensure technology project teams and first line management firmwide adhere to respective requirements
  • Lead ongoing monitoring and effective challenge across first line technology processes to assess the effectiveness of the controls executed by the first line

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of related work experience in technology security management, software development and/or implementation, IT operations, technology-related consulting and/or risk management; experience in evaluating design, build, and deployment activities is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university; relevant IT or Risk Management certification (CRISC, CISSP, CISM, CISA and ITIL) desired; working knowledge of Service Now’s eGRC Solutions is a plus
  • Knowledge of IT security, software development and infrastructure deployment methodologies and industry best practices
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as Service (SaaS) offering across the Microsoft Azure Platform and the Microsoft technology stack in general, including familiarity with data solutions on Azure such as Azure Data Lake Service, Power BI, Azure Data Bricks, Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory
  • Familiarity with NIST SP800-171 and the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification, as well as other compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, FISMA, SOC, ISO, HIPAA, HITRUST, and more
  • Progressive experience managing multiple projects concurrently with excellent organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills; excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence and respect of various levels
