KPMG is currently seeking an experienced Manager, UI/UX Strategist to join our KPMG Lighthouse - Center of Excellence for Advanced Analytics. This individual will help to drive user-centered design across KPMG platforms, products, and solutions developed by The Lighthouse. This individual will serve as a thought leader within an emerging community, focused on building “industrial strength” product development and product management capabilities. This role will include hands-on UI design and development, internal process development to instill and enhance our approach design thinking, interaction with external prospective and current customers, and oversight of other designers (both internal and contractors). Your vision and ability to bring best-in-class UI/UX strategy, design, and institutional capability development skills will be key to your and our success. This position will sit within our Lighthouse Products team, but will have broad responsibilities to support similar needs across our AI platform (Ignite) and our modern data platform teams, both of which support the development of platform features that enable solution build on those platforms, as well as the actual solution build.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Human Centered Design (HCD) user research including but not limited to: user interviews, surveys, usability testing, VoC and VoE interviews, etc. for data metric sourcing and interpretation, competitor analysis, and provision of qualitative / quantitative reports; Define and lead up-front user research activities including business analysis, task analysis and user interviews to inform the development of new products
  • Design elegant high-fidelity user personas, journey maps, UX/UI design mockups and wireframes, VX designs, and storyboards for all responsive landscapes; Develop rapid prototypes collaborating with Marketing teams, developers, and engineers to demo to KPMG internal stakeholders, client agencies, and external organizations
  • Deliver design documentation and artifacts in support of technical development, including graphical UI guidelines and corresponding graphical assets, functional specification documentation; Determine and design information architecture and sitemaps, data hierarchy, and content development requirements to support the development of design ideas
  • Facilitate iterative user feedback programs to drive incremental improvements in existing products; Use business requirements, user research and feedback to assist in developing scenarios, use cases, prioritizing features, high-level requirements and task flows across products and services 
  • Maintain clear priorities and work efficiently within a fluid, fast-paced product development ecosystem 
  • Work with stakeholders across client organizations to develop business requirements to support the development of design ideas; Work with highly collaborative teams in an agile, iterative design environment to determine best practices, processes, and standards for delivery of all products and services 

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of six years of UX/UI Design experience, with specific experience in: Agile and Lean UX methodologies, interaction design (IxD), user experience design (UX), visual experience design (VX), journey mapping, branding, content strategy, usability testing, HCD user and design research, interaction models and responsive layout  
  • Experience leading UX Design processes in collaboration with Product Management and Development counterparts, and overseeing junior designers
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university 
  • Demonstrated knowledge, ability, and comfort with industry-standard and prototyping software including but not limited to: Sketch, Figma, InVision, Abstract, Adobe CC including XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign; Ability to prototype with HTML 5 and CSS for functional prototypes, and work with developers and engineering to create deployable solutions / products
  • Experience with application/software development for sale to enterprise customers with a deep understanding of how identify business users' needs for functional designs and value-driving process improvement
  • Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements; must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
