KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate – Risk Management Audit to join our Risk Management Audit organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply a fundamental understanding of KPMG Audit and Risk Management policies and professional standards (such as, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, Securities Exchange Commission, among others)
  • Execute day-to-day activities of risk management with short and long-term deadlines with minimal supervision including performing technical research, analyzing engagement letter inquires, changes to the Risk Management Manual, publishing Risk Management Alerts and creating Risk Management presentations along others
  • Using knowledge and perspective of audit engagement teams, as well as independent judgement, manage and resolve day to day Risk Management Audit inquiries, as needed
  • Collaborate to ensure that inquiries are properly assigned, routed and responded to in a timely manner and work to resolve potential conflicts/issues
  • Partner and strategically interact with Risk Management Audit team members (such as Partners, Managing Directors and Senior Managers) to develop and oversee project plans (scope, approach, milestones, timing and resources); lead team meetings as well as communicate project status and action items
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, processes and projects that contribute to the improved efficiency and effectiveness of Risk Management Audit; present recommendations to team management

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years prior working experience with an accounting/auditing firm (such as Senior Audit Associate)
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university  
  • Knowledge of professional standards and/or risk management principles preferred
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, decision-making and time management skills
  • Experience working independently, managing competing priorities and diverse initiatives under tight timelines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to build relationships and communicate with people at all levels, including partners in the firm; Proficient with Microsoft Office suite applications. (800oth)
