    KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Counsel to join our Office of General Counsel (OGC) with the KPMG Delivery Network. KPMG Delivery Network (KDN) is a KPMG special purpose member firm offering a way for clients to leverage KPMG top talent and technology platforms through regional teams of specialists, enabling economies of scale and a new way of working that expands beyond local capability.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support KDN’s growth by being a key legal adviser on our strategic transactions including M&A, reorganizations, new service offerings, financings, and other transformative initiatives
    • Manage the legal due diligence process and deliver strategic advice and superior problem solving for complex legal issues
    • Assist with post-acquisition integration activities and advise on general day-to-day corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters
    • Manage external legal counsel in multiple jurisdictions and ensure work is done effectively and efficiently
    • Balance the need to deliver practical and business-focused advice while managing KDN’s risk appetite and compliance obligations; educate KDN’s business partners by making presentations and writing articles on important legal issues
    • Mentor and support junior members of the KDN OGC and wider KDN team and develop positive and productive relationships across KDN and the KPMG network of member firms

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum eight years of recent experience as an attorney with major law firm experience and relevant in-house experience is desired; expert level legal skills with demonstrated ability to lead complex corporate transactions
    • Juris Doctorate (JD) or an equivalent degree with an active license to practice law in the State of New York is required
    • Experienced in negotiating, drafting, and reviewing transaction and commercial agreements and advising on laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions
    • Able to work independently and manage complex situations while also collaborating with business teams and the OGC team
    • Capacity to balance the needs and demands of a growing global business with legal and compliance risk management; be self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment working with many different stakeholders worldwide
