KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Trade Analyst Shared Services to join our Trade and Customs practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of trade compliance process, training and technology
  • Ability to review intermediate and complex trade compliance work product, assist working on client projects, apply discretion and independent judgement while reviewing to identify and communicate necessary revisions or conclude that work product is accurate
  • Ability to direct a team using effective communication, project management and leadership skills to achieve common goals that contribute to quality client service
  • Build and develop relationships, provide day-to-day supervision and serve as a performance manager supporting professional growth and development of counselees and team members

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of recent direct experience in trade compliance including but not limited to, U.S. Customs and Border protection rules and regulations, the U.S. Harmonized Tariff Code, U.S. customs valuation requirements, export compliance (e.g., EAR and ITAR) including deemed exports, export jurisdiction and classification of complex products, licenses and other ITAR/EAR export authorizations, technology control plans, Consent Agreements, ITAR brokering, Congressional Notification, EAR de minimis guidelines and developing sustainable trade compliance programs as an attorney, trade consultant, in-house professional or government official
  • Associates degree in business related field or High School diploma equivalent with six or more years relevant experience
  • Outstanding and in-depth experience with U.S. import and export control regulations with the ability to address complex matters with practical advice and solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication/presentation skills with strong technical skills with the ability to plan and conduct in-depth reviews of transactional data using data and analytics preferred
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
