KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, Cyber Security – Data Protection in Technology Enablement for our Consulting practice.
Responsibilities:
• Assist clients in designing, deploying and managing technology and process solutions to reduce the potential of data compromise
• Assist clients with developing technical requirements, evaluating vendor solutions, developing architecture & design, and testing of data protection and data security solutions
• Advise clients in understanding the future state problems and challenges in cyber security and work collaboratively with them to enhance capabilities
• Contribute to KPMG’s thought leadership in client organizations and external market place
• Operate as a technical subject matter specialist
• Be up to date on industry trends around cyber risk and data protection practices
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 3 years of technical architecture experience integrating data protection software into clients' infrastructure and applications.
• Bachelor's degree and/or related work experience.
• Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, OSI model), operating system fundamentals (Windows, UNIX, mainframe), security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.) and application programming/scripting languages (C, Java, Perl, Shell).
• Demonstrated experience in three or more of the following areas (data leakage/content monitoring and filtering (DLP), secure messaging/email encryption, mobile device security, PKI, DRM, Secure Information Storage) while having a basic understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance issues affecting clients related to privacy and data protection, such as PCI DSS, GLBA, Basel II, EU Data Protection Directive, International Cross Border, and U.S. State Data Privacy Laws.
• Technical architecture experience integrating data protection software into clients' infrastructure; network architecture design, implementation and administration.
• Working knowledge of operating systems, virtual machine environments, mainframe security packages, and relational database management systems.
• Ability and willingness to travel and work in a fast paced, results driven environment, grasp new technology, and contribute at a rapid pace
