Duties Include:

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software source code.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, working within broadly defined parameters.

• Use Agile development tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket/Git.

• Promote creation and updating of all relevant documentation and specifications for design, development, and testing.

• Develop around potential roadblocks. Plan and estimate development tasks.

• Develop maintainable code that matches specification.

• Develop automated tests leveraging a continuous integration process.

Necessary Background, Skills, and Education:

• Bachelor 's degree and less than two years of background in a relevant field. Additional years of background may be considered in lieu of education.

• Background with Java, C/C++, and object-oriented programming.

• Background with RESTful services and APIs.

• Solid comprehension of software development process fundamentals.

• Strong, self-motivated desire to learn new programming languages, tools, frameworks, and techniques.

Preferred Background, Skills, and Education:

• Knowledge of developing applications using Confluent and Apache Kafka.

• Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies.

• Knowledge of a version control system (e.g., Git).

• Familiarity developing and delivering modern software, including microservices, containers, and serverless architectures.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint).

Clearance Needed:

• U.S. citizenship with a current DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $53,300.00 - $82,000.00 - $110,700.00
