    Position summary

    Description

    The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Director, NAVSEA Programs to work in our Arlington, VA office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Maritime Services Group of Gibbs & Cox mission. In this mission you will be responsible for portfolio and program management in support of U.S. Navy Programs focused on Government Services (NAVSEA 05, PEO Ships, NSWC).

    Primary Responsibilities:

    •Managing portfolio of contracts’ profit and loss (P&L), costs, scheduling, quality, and timely delivery.

    •Helping to develop and execute on business opportunities including capture plans and proposal development.

    •Staffing, mentoring and leading multidisciplinary teams to support your portfolio.

    •Supporting our ISO-9001 engineering process and development methodology.

    •Interacting with customers and industry partners regarding programmatic and technical issues.

    •Engaging with Industry Partners to execute strategic teaming opportunities for business growth.

    •Engaging with current and future customers to identify and shape new business opportunities.

    •Reporting Program Status and Strategy to Corporate Leadership.

    •Managing a team of Program Managers, Business Financial Managers, Engineers, and Analysts in program execution.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • U.S. Citizenship and an Active Secret Security Clearance.
    • Bachelor’s degree and 15(+) Years of proven experience providing relevant program management services.
    • Experience to include but not limited to:
      • Profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities for government services programs in excess of $20M with multiple subcontractors is highly desirable.
      • Interacting with customers regarding technical and/or business issues.
      • Direct supervision of large diverse multidisciplinary technical teams.
      • Contracts, Business Development, Capture Management and Proposal Development experience required.
      • Must have a deep understanding of technical, financial, budgeting, programmatic, business development and personnel management for government services contracts.
      • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
      • Experience as a Proposal Manager for Government Services Opportunities
      • Experience in business capture processes and strategic teaming in pursuit of new business required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree and a Program Management Professional (PMP) or similar Certification is highly desired.

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $118,300.00 - $182,000.00 - $245,700.00

    The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
