Description
The Intelligence Group at Leidos is seeking an Editor to support one of two brand-new programs with a classified government customer. These opportunities provide the customer with full-service graphics, multimedia, document production, training, and conference planning support. Products will span the full gamut of technical interactivity from hard copy job aids to full, digital, immersive environments. Training events will be synchronous and asynchronous.
The Editor will be responsible for editing, proofreading and providing written support. Types of writing could include technical, creative, digital, marketing, and product development. The Editor will also research technical reference material, gather relevant technical information, coordinate with management/colleges/experts and develop draft and final copies while ensuring the documents meet management and customer specifications and adhering to standards for quality, format and style. The Editor will collaborate with personnel in other functional areas.
The Editor may perform the following tasks:
Review and edit products to align with Style Guide standards Review and edit graphics, including interactive media, assist in the development of visual aids, and ensure proper formatting
Verify proper sourcing of products and graphics
Finalize publications
Provide archiving support
Track production, document and ensure workflow through the production process
Basic Qualifications
Must possess a current Top Secret Clearance; TS/SCI with polygraph eligible to obtain/preferred. Must be a US citizen.
Bachelor’s Degree in related field
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Experience in Microsoft and Adobe (e.g., In Design) products
Good verbal and written communication skills
Professional writing, editing, and sourcing skills
Strong editorial and grammatical skills
Knowledge of publishing principles and basics of publication design
Knowledge of production methodology for publishing products in hardcopy or electronic formats
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and to adjust as priorities changing
