Description
Leidos is a FORTUNE 500 company bringing a mix of innovative technology and sector expertise to customers in the national security, engineering, and the health industries.
Leidos is seeking an Electronics Technician to join our team in support of work for our customer.
This position will consist of a rotation schedule and will be primarily located in Ventura, CA, while traveling at sea onboard the M/OUSV ship.
We are expecting award in Fall 2022.
Responsibilities:
Working onboard M/OUSV ship.
Troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining equipment, components, devices, or systems.
May conduct testing in a development mode and determine methods or actions to correct malfunctions or design problems.
Recommend modifications to engineering designs as necessary.
Operation and maintenance of electronic equipment utilizing common and specialized tools in repair and maintenance of electro/mechanical equipment, test equipment, manufacturers' manuals, schematic diagrams and government procedures to operate and repair electro/mechanical equipment.
Preparation of all required reports; assist higher level personnel in compiling data for reports, procedures and manuals and ensure proper maintenance of records and logs.
Perform collateral duties in security, safety, and logistics areas.
You will participate in Leidos and Government safety programs.
This position will require close cooperation and working relationships with active-duty military and other Government personnel.
Required Qualifications:
US citizen with ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Ability to perform in an arduous duty environment.
Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 1 – 3 years of prior relevant experience.
At least one year of demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks.
Familiarity with operational and maintenance publications.
Previous electronics repair and maintenance experience.
Ability to lift 40lbs.
Individuals must possess the ability and demeanor to share common spaces over lengthy deployment periods and work closely with others in a small working area and in a shipboard environment.
Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior US military service; preferably Navy and on a Surface Navy platform.
Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office products.
Pay Range $37,050.00 - $57,000.00 - $76,950.00
