Leidos is seeking an Electronics Technician to join our team in support of work for our customer.

This position will consist of a rotation schedule and will be primarily located in Ventura, CA, while traveling at sea onboard the M/OUSV ship. 

We are expecting award in Fall 2022.

Responsibilities:

• Working onboard M/OUSV ship. 

• Troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining equipment, components, devices, or systems.

• May conduct testing in a development mode and determine methods or actions to correct malfunctions or design problems.

• Recommend modifications to engineering designs as necessary.

• Operation and maintenance of electronic equipment utilizing common and specialized tools in repair and maintenance of electro/mechanical equipment, test equipment, manufacturers' manuals, schematic diagrams and government procedures to operate and repair electro/mechanical equipment.

• Preparation of all required reports; assist higher level personnel in compiling data for reports, procedures and manuals and ensure proper maintenance of records and logs.

• Perform collateral duties in security, safety, and logistics areas.

• You will participate in Leidos and Government safety programs.

• This position will require close cooperation and working relationships with active-duty military and other Government personnel.

Required Qualifications:

• US citizen with ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

• Ability to perform in an arduous duty environment.

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 1 – 3 years of prior relevant experience.

• At least one year of demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks.

• Familiarity with operational and maintenance publications.

• Previous electronics repair and maintenance experience.

• Ability to lift 40lbs.

• Individuals must possess the ability and demeanor to share common spaces over lengthy deployment periods and work closely with others in a small working area and in a shipboard environment.

• Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior US military service; preferably Navy and on a Surface Navy platform.

• Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office products.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $37,050.00 - $57,000.00 - $76,950.00
