The QRC Airborne ISR Division at Leidos has an opening in Bridgewater, VA for a Flight Test Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to test OEM and integrated mission equipment onboard multiple aircraft. You will support the Test Director by accomplishing the responsibilities listed below.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to conduct ground and airborne test events and will lead the aircraft and crew in accomplishing the test requirements. The Flight Test Engineer will work closely with systems, mechanical, and electrical engineering, logistics, subcontractors, government representatives, and integrated product/test teams to ensure test requirements are met, including all required documentation.

THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)
Plans, coordinates, manages, and executes full spectrum of ground and flight tests on fixed wing aircraft.
Prepare for ground and flight tests:
Review applicable requirements, system manuals, and specification documentation.
Coordinate cross team, subcontractor, and customer personnel to support test execution.
Manage test equipment including calibration procedures.
Develop test plans with mission relatable, requirements traceable, and intuitively testable metrics along with a scope and method to evaluate systems.
Execute flight test events.
Analyze test data and produce test reports that provide results, supporting data, conclusions, and recommendations based on the system’s intended mission, stated requirements, and applicable specifications.
Stand up instrumentation capability including installation of strain gauges and data logging.

Preferred Qualifications
Active Secret clearance.
Flight Performance and Handling Qualities (FPHQ) experience.
Knowledge and experience with aircraft systems, including ASE, IFF, radios, systems engineering.
Familiarity with FAA and DoD regulations.
Pay Range $63,050.00 - $97,000.00 - $130,950.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
