The Leidos Intelligence Division is seeking a Software Engineer/Developer with a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance to support a highly visible fast paced prime contract in the Fort Meade, MD area. PROGRAM SUMMARY

Our Prototype Development Support program is looking for candidates with a strong mission focus to do new development and rapid prototyping. Someone who can figure out smarter, better ways to discover new targets or support mission analysis. The Prototype Development Support program is a TTO-based, LOE program in support of our customer’s Operations organization.  Through new development and rapid prototyping, this program looks to help its customer find new and better data sources and tradecraft to answer new and existing intelligence questions to accomplish its mission.  Working across all areas, using methods that run the gamut from leading edge visualizations, analytic development and new technology research, the program constantly strives to provide the best solutions for the customer to address their mission needs, all in a fast paced, highly collaborative challenging environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Working in a variety of environments, the successful candidate will use leading edge technologies to develop analytics pulling data from multiple cyber sources, as well as classic SIGINT.  These analytics will be used in standard systems throughout the enterprise to support missions throughout the world covering a variety of subjects. The candidate will be developing prototypes answering new questions as well as providing improved answers to existing questions.  There are also opportunities to evaluate and work with new leading edge platforms, frameworks and technologies, all while working directly with the customer in a highly collaborative, integrated environment.  This position is perfect for someone who likes to work in an environment that uses leading technologies in a fast paced environment.  

Basic Qualifications

• At least 4 years of general experience in software development/engineering, computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Shall have at least 1 year of experience developing software with high level languages such as Java.
• Shall have demonstrated work or academic experience with distributed scalable Big Data Store (NoSQL) such as H Base, CloudBase/Accumulo, Big Table, etc., as well as 1 year of experience with the Map Reduce programming model, the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Etc.
• Shall have demonstrated work or academic experience with Source Code Management (e.g. Git, Stash, or Subversion, etc.)
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related discipline may be substituted for 4 years of general experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Java
• Python experience helpful
• Knowledge of Network Topologies and databases
• Map Reduce experience preferred
• Experience with Big Data Optimization
• Data Normalization
• Cross domain experience (eVo)
• AWS instances (RDS, DynomoDB)
• Familiar with customer development tools (Jira, Maven, Git) 
• Work in a team environment

Pay Range:

Pay Range $63,050.00 - $97,000.00 - $130,950.00
