Description
The Leidos Defense Group currently has an opening for a graphic designer to support the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command-Chemical Biological Center- Advanced, Design, and Manufacturing Division. Effort will support basic and applied research efforts for the development, test, and evaluation of novel military specific chemical and biological products. Located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Edgewood Area, the graphic designer will support researchers in developing and promoting products for warfighters dominance in CBRNE environments. Specific efforts include development of 3D models; animation development, creating computer generated art for logos, decals, and other promotional products; developing storyboards, creating flip books, and performing video editing.
Primary Responsibilities:
Functions as a team member with other engineers, chemists, and scientists in performing projects directed by Principal Investigator
Performs 3D modeling and animation support
Generates graphics for inclusion in graphical user interfaces
Assists in editing training and promotional videos
Performs other duties assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Art, Animation, or related field with 2 or more years or relevant experience. Additional experience, training, and/or certifications may be considered in lieu of education requirement.
Demonstrated experience in utilizing software tools such as 3D Studio Max, Maya, Blender, and SOLIDWORKS.
Currently possess or ability to obtain and maintain DoD “Secret” Clearance
Effective communication and writing skills
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience id development of interactive software packages and virtual reality augmentation products
Database and graphical user interface development experience
Interactive training material development experience
Method development and method optimization

Pay Range $48,750.00 - $75,000.00 - $101,250.00
