Description
Leidos is seeking a IT Security Engineer to work onsite at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville. In this role the senior level IT Security Engineer will possess in-depth technical knowledge of Cybersecurity principles. Under general direction of and in coordination with CSPP, responsible for all activities relating to Cybersecurity procedures and systems. In coordination with Government develops Cybersecurity programs and control guidelines. Confers with and advises subordinates on administrative policies and procedures and resolving technical problems, priorities, and methods. Consults with and advises other areas regarding internal controls and security procedures. Prepares activity and progress reports relating to the information systems audit function. Supports vulnerability assessment and design of intrusion detection tools for complex network architecture.
Basic Qualifications
BS + 8 years of relevant experience. As a senior level position, candidate must possess in-depth technical knowledge of Cybersecurity principles. Must have experience developing cybersecurity program and control guidelines. Experience advising and guiding less experienced subordinates in resolving technical issues. Experience preparing technical audit reports, vulnerability assessments, and designing intrusion detection tools.
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00
