Leidos is seeking an energetic, motivated, self-starter for this technically sophisticated and challenging Lead Linux Computer Systems Engineer position, leading a team in the development of a variety of naval training and simulation systems such as CIAT - Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Trainer - YouTube .
You will work across the DevSecOps development lifecycle of the state of the art training systems that we design, develop, integrate, and install at Naval sites around the nation. You will be part of the team responsible for technical planning, system hardware-software-network design, development and integration, operating system configuration, and fielding Linux based training systems. You will perform systems requirements analysis and take part in trade studies evaluating the latest server and cluster hardware. Travel may be required to partner organizations or trainer sites (ncluding Pearl Harbor HI, San Diego CA, Bangor WA, Norfolk VA, Groton CT, and Kings Bay GA).
Required Education
Required Experience
You must have U.S. Citizenship and be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government granted security clearance. Employment is contingent on receiving an interim Secret security clearance.
You must have 8+ years of relevant work experience
You must have demonstrable expertise with the Linux operating system (Enterprise Linux, either RHEL or CentOS)
Desired Experience
Experience with Agile development and Atlassian products.
Experience using DevSecOps methods (Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery) and tools (Gitlab, Conan, Jenkins, Docker).
Past team lead experience.
8570.1-M / DoD 8140 compliant with certifications of Security+, SSCP, or CISSP as well as Linux+, RHCE, Network+, or CCNA (or better).
DoD 8570 IAT II compliance (CCNA, Sec+ for example)
Pay Range $97,500.00 - $150,000.00 - $202,500.00
