Lead Software Engineer

• Participate in all phases of programs from detailed requirements flow down, trade studies, processing architecture design, hardware selection, firmware and software development, integration and test.

• Investigate potential processing architectures which may incorporate GPUs, CPUs, FPGAs, SoC, and other cutting-edge technologies.

• Collaborate with scientists, subject matter experts, software engineers, hardware engineers and FPGA designers

• Produce reports, presentations, and participate in working groups

• Mentor Junior software engineers in good engineering practices

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Software or Computer Engineering and 8-12 years' experience

• Ability to code in C, C++

• Experience developing software requirements, architectures.

• Hands on experience working with a variety of hardware and platforms.

• Proficiency in basic lab tools such as scopes and logic analyzers.

• Experience is source code control, bug tracking, task management tools.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance.(U.S. Citizenship is required)

• Ability and willingness to work onsite in San Diego California.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working in small engineering teams.

• Experience with adaptive signal processing and applied math.

• Experience implementing interfaces such as Ethernet, Spacewire, GigE Vision, and CameraLink

• Experience with embedded C and RTOS

• Experience with Python.

• Familiarity with MBSE approach and tools.

• Current and active DoD Secret clearance.

• Willing to obtain a Top Secret clearance

Pay Range:
Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
