    Job Description:

    Gibbs & Cox, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is the largest independent naval architecture and marine engineering firm in the United States.     Gibbs & Cox, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Leidos is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Model Based Systems Engineer. As member of an interdisciplinary team, you will apply a Model Based Systems Engineering methodology to support the Canadian Surface Combatant program. Must be willing to travel up to 25% to Halifax Nova Scotia.

    Essential responsibilities include:

    • Identify and evaluate a complex network of shipbuilding artifacts

    • Facilitate discussion with stakeholders about key performance parameters and design decisions.

    • Create requirements, structural behavioral and logical models using CAMEO Systems Modeler

    • Coordinate the development of technical reports and white papers

    • Conduct Trade Analyses for making engineering decisions

    • Manage risks

    Basic Qualifications

    • BS Degree in Engineering or Related Discipline or equivalent education in Systems Engineering.

    • 3 (+) years of Systems Engineering Experience performing requirements management

    • 1(+) years Model-Based Systems Engineering

    • Experience creating models in CAMEO System Modeler.

    • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).

    • Work independently (with moderate supervision), or on project teams.

    • U.S. Citizenship is required.

    • An Active Secret Clearance is Required.

    • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with US Navy ship designs.

    • Experience working in large team environments & interfacing with highly technical points of contact for component systems / subsystems

    • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and project unknowns/ambiguity

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $63,050.00 - $97,000.00 - $130,950.00

    The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
