    Position summary

    ty. This position requires deep expertise in system modeling languages, architecture definition, and the ability to integrate MBSE into Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) cadences. You will play a critical role in providing expert recommendations for the decomposition and prioritization of requirements, ensuring alignment with operational outcomes within a highly secure, multi-level classification environment.

    The successful candidate will bring transformative MBSE expertise to drive robust, traceable, and agile development of critical capabilities into the program.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive experience in systems engineering, with a significant focus on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) on large-scale, complex government programs, preferably within the DoW or Air Force. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

    • Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.

    • Demonstrated experience in developing, maintaining, and utilizing system models to define, analyze, and manage system requirements, architectures, and designs.

    • Proven experience in deriving, analyzing, and providing expert recommendations for the decomposition and prioritization of requirements for complex, integrated software and hardware systems within Command and Control (C2) and Battle Management Command and Control (BMC2) environments.

    • Experience in SysML diagramming tools (Cameo System Modeler, IBM Rhapsody, etc.).

    • Experience in maintaining and updating system architectures, including External Interface Control Documents (EICD) and architecture artifacts (e.g., OV-I, OV-2, sequence diagrams, use cases) within a model-based environment.

    • Proficiency with Enterprise Agile Planning Tools (EAPT) such as Jira Align, and project management tools like Jira and Confluence, with an understanding of how to link model elements to backlog items.

    • Solid understanding of DevSecOps principles and how MBSE supports automated CI/CD pipelines by providing clear, executable specifications.

    • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders including program management, systems engineering, software, cyber, test, operations, and government customers.

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience with defense mission systems, command and control platforms, or systems operating in operationally sensitive environments.

    • Familiarity with Open Architecture (OA) or Open Mission Systems (OMS) concepts.

    • Practical experience incorporating SE criteria into the "Definition of Ready" and SE artifacts into the "Definition of Done" for features, leveraging model-based insights.

    • Demonstrated ability to serve as a trusted technical advisor to senior program leadership and government stakeholders.

    • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) certification (ASEP or CSEP).

    • OCSMP (OMG Certification for Systems Modeling Professionals).

    • SAP Program experience preferred

    Pay Range:
    Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
