Description
The Enterprise & Cyber Solutions Operation is hiring a Network Administrator Subject Matter Expert to support the National Air and Space Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. An active TS/SCI is required; all work is onsite.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide network design in coordination with requests from the Network Team Lead and/or Network Operations PTA.
Work with the Network Team Lead and the Network Operations to schedule all network changes according to NASIC’s change management process
Provide Level II and III CFP escalation support
Install, remove, maintain, document, and support traditional and software-defined network switching, traditional and cloud-based routing, software-defined networking, application policy infrastructure controllers (APIC), firewalls, and encryption devices, throughout the NASIC enterprise to include outlying buildings
Program REST API calls and related scripting for software-defined network devices and/or other networking equipment in coordination with requests from the Network Team Lead and/or Network Operations
Install, label, and test network cabling as requested by the Network Team Lead and/or the Network Operations within the NASIC data centers and/or mux rooms, and customer desks to include the NASIC outlying buildings in accordance with NASIC guidance
Maintain architectural network diagrams and document all installations/changes in MS-Visio accordance with NASIC guidance
Monitor critical NASIC IT infrastructure (e.g. networks, servers, storage, power, and cooling) and manage the monitoring systems software
Provide maintenance and support for NASIC’s implementation of Comply to Connect including IEEE 802.1x device authentication
Provide on-call support for non-core hours as needed
Follow all EIA/TIA Industry Standards, Air Force Standards, Wright-Patterson AFB Base Facility Standards, Tempest Regulations, and NASIC policies, processes, and procedures
Secure all network devices following DoD guidance, IC guidance, and DISA STIGs
Provide network design, maintenance, and support in coordination with requests from the Network Team Lead and/or the Network Operations
Work with the Network Team Lead and/or the Network Operations to schedule all network changes
Install, label, and remove routers/switches/firewalls and other networking devices, in coordination with requests from the Network Team Lead and/or the Network Operations and in accordance with NASIC guidance
Document facility work being performed using the NASIC Service and Incident Request system (i.e. Microsoft System Center Service Manager or ServiceNow)
Maintain Communications Equipment Rooms in accordance with the Data Center Manager’s Memorandum of Agreement
Configure, and manage virtual networks
Configure and manage traditional networks
Configure and manage software-defined networks in the data center
Configure and manage Comply to Connect systems including IEEE 802.1x device authentication
Troubleshoot network and voice issues
Identify cabling issues/breaks as requested by the Network Team Lead and/or Network Operations
Re-terminate fiber optics and cat5/cat6 cabling as requested by the Network Team Lead and/or Network Operations
Provide input to Daily Logs, Weekly Activity Reports, and Monthly Reports on all network tasks performed, man hours used and parts used
Provide monthly functional area reports summarizing work accomplished, work planned in next month and important issues occurring during the month
Basic Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance
Requires BS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree 14+ years of experience may be considered.
Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II (e.g., Security+) certification
Cisco Certified Network Associate certification or equivalent
Cisco Certified Networking Professional – Cloud certification or equivalent
Experience installing, removing, maintaining, documenting, and supporting traditional network switching, routing, application policy infrastructure controllers (APIC), firewalls, and encryption devices
Preferred Qualifications
Experience installing, removing, maintaining, documenting, and supporting software-defined network switching, cloud-based routing, and software-defined networking
Experience programing REST API calls and related scripting for software-defined network devices and/or other networking equipment

Pay Range $84,500.00 - $130,000.00 - $175,500.00
