You will serve as the authoritative technical "face and voice" of the Network Practice, championing our capabilities at industry events, advocating within OOT, and piloting innovative internal R&D initiatives to position Leidos as a thought leader in next-generation networking.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
No initial clearance is required to start; however, you must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. (US Citizenship required)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technology Leadership
Serve as the principal technical expert in the Network Practice, guiding new business initiatives and engaging stakeholders.
Stay current on industry trends, including SDN, SASE, 5G, edge computing, cloud integration, and network automation.
Represent Leidos as a thought leader in network modernization, influencing senior-level customer engagements with consultative expertise.
Advocate for the prioritization of Network Practice needs in enterprise investments and collaborate in defining long-term technology strategies aligned with sector and network goals.
Work within OOT and Network Practice leadership to shape a robust portfolio of network investments supporting growth and innovation.
Collaboration
Partner with cross-functional teams, including OOT, Linc, CHO iRADS, and technical fellows, to integrate Leidos network solutions and expertise.
Build and promote a portfolio of strategic alliance partners, driving innovation and exploring disruptive technologies to enhance solution offerings.
Serve as SME on select capture opportunities, providing technical leadership for solution development.
Mentor network team members and the broader network community, fostering technical expertise and innovation.
Collaborate with practice leaders and business development teams to identify and align opportunities for integration of sector and partner innovations in network programs and captures.
Client Engagement
Actively participate in industry forums to present Leidos' capabilities and points of view, fostering relationships with key clients and partners.
Engage prospective and current clients, demonstrating Leidos' network expertise in solving complex challenges and understanding their evolving priorities.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters degree in Technology, Engineering, or related field with 15+ years in Network, Cloud, & Data Center experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Progressive technical roles with expertise in enterprise network solutions, SD-WAN, SASE, 5G, multi-cloud networking, and data center transformation.
Practical experience deploying and supporting digital twin infrastructure leveraging digital engineering best practices.
Deep understanding of IT frameworks, including ITIL, Agile, Site Reliability Engineering, and systems engineering best practices.
Knowledge of the Leidos Digital Modernization customer landscape and competitor dynamics.
Demonstrated thought leadership in shaping and executing network strategies for U.S. Government clients.
Excellent verbal and written communication, public speaking, and ability to influence senior leaders.
Experience leading capture activities, including proposal contributions, competitive analysis, solution strategy, and estimating BOE/BOM/task costs.
Proven ability to mentor and promote technical talent, fostering a culture of innovation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Active Secret security clearance
Network certifications from Cisco, Palo Alto, or Juniper

Pay Range:
Pay Range $144,300.00 - $260,850.00
